Harry Kane is out of the blocks like a bullet in 2026, opening a big lead over 2025's clear winner Kylian Mbappe and everyone else.

Kylian Mbappe scored a ludicrous 58 goals for Real Madrid in 2025, which was 10 goals more than nearest challenger Harry Kane.

But Kane is out of the blocks like a bullet in 2026, having already opened up a lead over the field and raced to the 30-goal landmark in the Bundesliga for the season.

The criteria: All club goals in all competitions for clubs in Europe’s top 10 leagues. Minutes per goal is your tie-breaker when players are level on goals scored, which at this point a lot of them are.

Who are the top scorers of 2026 from across Europe?

10) Troy Parrott (AZ Alkmaar) – 15 goals

A hat-trick v Ajax takes top billing, but the Conference League has been a rich source of goals and one that is alas no longer available to the Irishman this season. The move to West Ham to score seven goals in a tricky season is surely imminent.

9) Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) – 15 goals

There was that vital equaliser v Newcastle United. And then another in the absolute tw*tting they game them at home in the second leg. And now there have been 24 goals this season for a player who is still somehow only 18 and has won a third La Liga title.

8) Alexander Sorloth (Atletico Madrid) – 15 goals

The big man continues to be quietly effective for Spain’s third wheel. He keeps Viktor Gyokeres off this list despite being outshone by him in the Champions League semi-finals.

7) Donyell Malan (Roma) – 15 goals

Absolutely the January signing of the season, the Dutchman’s goals taking the Italian capital club back into the Champions League.

6) Paul Onuachu (Trabzonspor) – 15 goals

The sharer of the Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot along with Eldor Shomurodov, Onuachu also scored twice in a Turkish Cup final win over Konyaspor to crown a stunning season.

5) Marius Mouandilmadji (Samsunspor) – 16 goals

Probably coming to a West Ham transfer window near you, Mouandilmadji didn’t score at all in the league between September and December but started the year flying in Conference League and Turkish Cup runs.

Now he has carried that form into the league, including a two-goal haul in an unlikely 4-1 win over Galatasaray.

4) Ousmane Dembele (PSG) – 16 goals

Managed only two goals in Ligue 1 before Christmas in an injury-hit start to 25/26 but is very much up and running again now. Scored eight league goals since the turn of the year, his Champions League double against Liverpool propelled him into the top 10, and two against Bayern took him towards the podium. Added another in the final because he is the man for the big occasion.

3) Vinicius Jnr (Real Madrid) – 17 goals

The top scorer for Real Madrid in a year when they have once again won absolutely nothing.

2) Luis Suarez (Sporting) – 20 goals

Not that one. The 28-year-old Colombian seamlessly replaced Viktor Gyokeres and has scored goals for fun, including a double in the Champions League v PSG and another in the comeback win over Bodo/Glimt. Couldn’t find the goal Sporting needed at the Emirates, though. Ended the season as the top scorer in the Portuguese league with 28 goals but his goal in the cup final was in vain as Sporting surprisingly lost to Torreense.

1) Harry Kane (Bayern Munich) – 31 goals

Last year’s runner-up has had another excellent start to 2026, which began with an 8-1 win over Wolfsburg and took in the career 500-goal mark in February. There’s little wonder that Bayern are so keen to nail him down to a new contract.

The serial winner scored in both legs of the Champions League quarter-final win and semi-final defeat to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain respectively, before wrapping up his Bundesliga campaign with a hat-trick in much the same way he delivered Bayern the DFB Pokal against Stuttgart.
