Using WhoScored’s ratings, we reveal the worst player at every Premier League club this season, including Chelsea flop Liam Delap.
Using WhoScored’s average match ratings, here is the worst-performing player at each Premier League club this season.
We can’t be saying some bench fodder is a club’s worst player, so you can only qualify if you’ve started at least 18 games this season – or featured in at least 28 games.
Ratings are accurate as of matchday 38, the final week of the campaign. Here we go.
Arsenal worst player 2025/26: Gabriel Martinelli (6.39)
Arsenal fans do not care one bit because Martinelli’s only league goal this season was a last-minute equaliser against title rivals Manchester City.
Aston Villa worst player 2025/26: Lamare Bogarde (6.14)
Bogarde is a versatile player, but that rating is bloody brutal.
Bournemouth worst player 2025/26: David Brooks (6.37)
Not the worst rating, is it? Brooks scored one goal and registered three assists in 31 Premier League appearances.
Brentford worst player 2025/26: Jordan Henderson (6.43)
This is what gets you in England’s World Cup squad.
Brighton worst player 2025/26: Carlos Baleba (6.38)
Baleba’s form improved in the final weeks of the season, but he was very disappointing over the course of the campaign.
His failed transfer to Manchester United clearly had a detrimental effect.
Burnley worst player 2025/26: Jacob Bruun Larsen (6.18)
See you again in 2027, you boring turds.
Chelsea worst player 2025/26: Liam Delap (6.24)
Every club wanted Delap last summer after an impressive year at Ipswich Town, but he has been rubbish for Chelsea and goes down as one of the flops of the season after scoring two goals in 41 appearances across all competitions in 2025/26. That is grim.
Crystal Palace worst player 2025/26: Will Hughes (6.33)
Fun fact: Palace have now finished between 10th and 15th for 13 straight Premier League seasons. Nobody else has ever done more than five in a row.
Everton worst player 2025/26: Thierno Barry (6.43)
Barry was a laughing stock for months but finished the season with eight league goals, two of which came against Man City, making him an Arsenal legend without ever playing for them.
Fulham worst player 2025/26: Josh King (6.29)
Fulham’s season can be summed up by Kenny Tete being their highest-rated player. He was somehow better than 17-goal-involvement Harry Wilson.
Anyway, King actually looks like a decent player…
Leeds United worst player 2025/26: Lukas Nmecha (6.35)
Only started 10 times in the league, coming off the bench 21 times. That will tank your average rating.
Liverpool worst player 2025/26: Curtis Jones (6.51)
A bitterly disappointing season for Liverpool, yet a 6.51 rating is very good for this feature. Jones only scored once and assisted twice in 34 league games.
Manchester City worst player 2025/26: Tijjani Reijnders (6.65)
We are annoyed Reijnders made exactly 28 appearances, because it feels like he has barely played since December, when, of course, reindeers are relevant.
Manchester United worst player 2025/26: Leny Yoro (6.41)
Yoro had the same rating as Manuel Ugarte, who only started eight games, played 14 times in total, and will surely be sold in the summer. Probably to Turkey.
Newcastle United worst player 2025/26: Anthony Elanga (6.23)
What a crap season that turned out to be for Newcastle. It should have been expected after such a disastrous summer transfer window, mind. There have not been many worse in recent memory.
Signing Elanga for £55m for questionable at best at the time. He has been a disaster, scoring zero and assisting only once in 32 league appearances. Yoane Wissa, five years his senior and signed for a similar fee, deserves an honourable mention with his 6.14 from 19 appearances.
Nottingham Forest worst player 2025/26: Omari Hutchinson (6.58)
So many Forest players narrowly miss out due to the appearance threshold, yet Hutchinson doesn’t feel like a bad choice. If anything, we are surprised his rating is that high.
Sunderland worst player 2025/26: Wilson Isidor (6.32)
Isidor did a decent job leading the line at the start of the season but was eventually usurped by Brian Brobbey.
Tottenham Hotspur worst player 2025/26: Randal Kolo Muani (6.30)
A disgraceful season for everyone associated with Spurs, really. Kolo Muani managed one goal and one assist in 30 appearances, 21 of which came as a starter.
West Ham worst player 2025/26: Callum Wilson (6.32)
Wilson scored seven goals, including a winner against relegation rivals Spurs. Honestly, he had a decent season, all things considered. After flirting with relegation for a while at Newcastle, the ex-England striker has gone down with the Hammers.
Wolves worst player 2025/26: Hwang Hee-chan (6.18)
Wolves will be thankful an embarrassing season has come to an end. We’re hardly pinning all of their misfortunes on Hwang.
